SkillNet Academy began as a handful of weekend networking labs run out of borrowed classrooms, after one too many hiring partners asked why graduates couldn't do what their own coursework claimed. The network grew college by college, state by state, from that same premise: teach what the next job actually needs.

An independent board of trustees oversees the foundation's direction and finances, with regular third-party review of program outcomes and fund utilisation shared with every partner and donor.
